The Four Oaks Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with United Community Bank, announces the 2018 Acorn Festival. This year’s festival will be held September 8, 2018 from 10am – 4pm. This will be a fun filled family day with live music, children’s activities, food trucks, antique cars and tractors, and great local shopping. The McDonald’s of Four Oaks Kids Zone will feature bounce houses, carnival games, face painting, train rides, and a petting zoo. The stage in Barbour’s Grove Park will feature Eric Strickland and Here Tonight, the Antique Outlaws, and The Expressions. The event will be larger than previous years with more children’s activities and the addition of the Johnston Health Business Expo, an additional vendor area. One of the favorite event attractions, the antique car and tractor cruise in, will be hosted by OPW Retail Fueling this year. This event is an incredible opportunity to be a part of the Four Oaks community and to support the local community businesses.
Amber England, Four Oaks Chamber Director, encourages vendors in the area to register as soon as possible. “We are expanding our vendor area this year to feature a handmade and shopping area as well as a business expo. We feel this growth will better feature our local businesses and our artisan vendors. However, vendor registration will still be limited so please register as soon as possible.”
Vendor registration can be found on the event website at http://fouroakschamber.com/news/annual-acorn-festival/. In addition to the support of United Community Bank, the Acorn Festival is also made possible through the support of The Town of Four Oaks, the Johnston County Visitors Bureau, House-Autry Mills, HomeTowne Realty, McDonald’s of Four Oaks, Anita C Stephenson, CPA, Keene and Associates Insurance Agency, Carolina Packers, and Country Superstars 102.3.
The Four Oaks Chamber of Commerce is also looking for volunteers to assist with the festival day events. If you have any questions about this event or would like more information about volunteering, please contact the Chamber Office at (919) 963-4044 or email at [email protected]
