Donna Bailey-Taylor, President/CEO of the Johnston County Visitors Bureau will be presenting valuable business education on utilizing the Visitors Bureau and marketing to your 50 mile radius on August 9th, 6-7pm. The presentation will be held in the Four Oaks Town Hall Board Room. There is no pre-registration required and light refreshments will be provided.
Donna joined the Johnston County Visitors Bureau in August, 1996 and is responsible for marketing the county to leisure travelers, sports tournaments, meeting planners and publicity efforts to local, state and national media to raise awareness of Johnston County as a destination.
JCVB is a quasi-government agency which was formed in 1987 by the state legislature which approved the county-wide 3% room tax. As the President/CEO she works directly for the Johnston County Tourism Authority and manages a staff of five employees.
Donna has been in the hospitality industry since graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1981, first in the hotel industry in sales and marketing, and second working at the Durham Convention & Visitors Bureau before coming to Johnston County.
Donna’s parents were both born and raised in the county, and she resides in Benson. She has served on numerous boards and committees both locally and statewide, and she has worked around the county to develop and improve tourism assets.
We are looking forward to the knowledge and support that Donna will be able to share with our local small businesses during this business education session. This event is open to the public.
