Veterans Recognition

by | Nov 14, 2024

Congratulations to our distinguished honorees at the Four Oaks Chamber of Commerce Veteran’s Recognition held on Tuesday, Nov. 12th, at the Four Oaks American Legion Building. Julie Nix, recipient of the Lifetime of Service Award, served with dedication in the U.S. Air Force for 24 years and continues her commitment to veterans in Johnston County, helping them access essential benefits. Reverend Rodney Raby, awarded the Dedicated Service Award, served courageously in the U.S. Army during the Iraq War as both a combatant and chaplain, and he continues his pastoral and chaplaincy roles today.

A heartfelt thanks to the Four Oaks Middle School Band, directed by Crystal Barbour, for performing the National Anthem, and to the reigning Four Oaks Queens for their support and the generous check presented to the American Legion. Special thanks to the Four Oaks Chamber of Commerce in Partnership with United Community Bank for their leadership in this memorable event.

Together, let us honor our veterans and their families, celebrating their service not only through words but through kindness, action, and a supportive community.
